Inspire Our YouthInspire Our YouthInspire Our YouthInspire Our Youth1/7AFY's youth can succeed with the support, encouragement and inspiration from the generous community members. To help inspire our youth, we are offering the opportunity to provide a donation and create a sticker, magnet, and/or plaque with a personalized uplifting quote. The sticker, magnet and/or plaque would be placed on equipment such as laptops, in our mobile outreach vehicles and in our multipurpose room here at the AFY office where it is visible to the youth. The positive message helps to motivate and remind them, especially during challenging moments, that they are not alone on their journey to a better life and future success. Inspire Today!During COVID-19,working through covid-19working through covid-19Working through covid-19working through covid-191/5AFY's presence in the lives of our youth has never been more important than now. AFY continues to engage youth in our services, focusing on educational support and ensuring our seniors graduate from high school and prepare for future opportunities. Whether it be to help with access to technology, tutoring, or adjusting schedules to hold smaller classes at our offices and our mobile educational vehicle in our parking lot, we have been relentless in working to ensure our wrap around services to our youth and their families are not reduced but expanded. Please help us ensure our programs can continue through the summer and into the next school year. Your compassion, generosity and Aloha for this important work at such a critical time in our community would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping all youth believe they matter! Working through CovidBuild a better community through small change. Gather any coins you can find – stuck in your pockets, buried in your purse, hiding in the nooks of your car – and place them in any container, a water bottle, a zip-loc bag, an empty can, etc. Any small change can lead to a big change. Then simply drop your change off at our AFY office at 3375 Koapaka Street B290 Honolulu, HI 96819 or call us for arrangements.Change for Changeso all youth can reach their full potentialDONATE NOWOR VISITDesignation number: 70010 Toward a Gang Solution was the first book written by AFY and published back in 1996. This book looks at the adolescent gang as a low- income minority phenomenon consisting of members in an age range from middle school through early adulthood. It is presented in four sections. The first covers historic development of youth gangs; the second looks at gangs from group theory perspective; third presents the philosophy and practice principles of the Redirectional Method as a Method to help reduce youth violence among gang members; fourth illustrates the implementation of the Method through case examples. $10.00"Turning It Around", Redirectional Therapy (RT) is the second book written and published by AFY. The book explains the organization's signature Redirectional Therapy credited with helping violent and dangerous youth lead productive lives. The book also describes numerous case studies that supports AFY's successful work. An important segment in the book explains how AFY conducts successful mediations between gang rivals and how to solve their differences in a peaceful and non-violent way. The RT is proven to be a credible therapeutic intervention designed to rehabilitate a population that has been stigmatized as hopeless.SOLD OUT$18.95Call us at 808-833-8775 or subscribe to our contact list to receive more information for our upcoming events!Mailing listThank you for joining our mailing list!Contact Us3375 Koapaka St B290, Honolulu, HI 96819(808) 833-8775afy@afyhawaii.comSubmitThanks for submitting!
