Apply now Program Services Kū Aloha Ola Mau (Kū Aloha) has been in operation since 1976 providing Medications (Methadone/Buprenorphine) for Opiate Use Disorder (MOUD) in an outpatient setting serving more than 14,000 people struggling with substance misuse and dependency. Our compassionate, comprehensive approach to recovery centers around each participant or “haumana” (student), with the belief that anyone can recover from substance dependency. Our name means “stand lovingly and compassionately in everlasting life and health” describing our roots in spirituality and holistic approaches. Our haumana seek recovery from substance abuse dependency to heroin and other opioid prescriptions in combination of other substances. We know that both addiction and recovery do not happen in isolation, and that family members, children and loved ones are also in need of healing and recovery. While addiction can destroy even the most successful of families, the recovery process can help to deepen family members’ strength and understanding. Collaboration with other agencies such as jails, hospitals, physicians, psychologist, psychiatrist, mental health, probation, and families is an important part of the multi-disciplinary team approach to help treat an individual’s multiple drug use and mental health disorder. Kū Aloha provides programs with staff that are creative, loving and committed. Research and state-of-the-art knowledge and interventions are combined with the wisdom of our culture to offer unique services to those seeking recovery and healing. Our team includes Certified Substance Abuse Counselors, Licensed Psychiatrist, Physician, APRN, RNs, LPNs, MSCP, MFT, and Practicum Students. We are located on the island of Oahu in Honolulu from 5:30am-1:00pm and on Hawai’i Island in Hilo from 5:30am-1:00pm. Approximately four hundred people are served daily from Monday through Friday and weekends by scheduled appointments and in case of an emergency and or a natural disaster. We offer individual counseling and group sessions, (all documentation are entered on our electronic records system with Methasoft and WITS), in addition to other outside contracted services. We coordinate our referrals that are outside of our scope of services for mental health, primary care, psychiatric, and for higher level of care. We value continued staff growth and provide in-service trainings and education, in addition to an on-line training platform through Relias. We accept State, Federal and Self-Pay funding, and we accept insured and non-insured. OUR PROGRAMS & IMPACT YOUR IMPACT Send your check Donation to: Ku Aloha Ola Mau 1130 N Nimitz Hwy.
