LUCHA INC While using trusted messengers and promotoras we accomplished:La Cultura Cura- We kicked off our list of activities by participating in the Tamale festival, feeding the homeless for a Christmas meal, Masa para la Raza food distribution in Southwinds Park, the MLK march, and most recently in the Internationa Womens day celebration at Veterans Memorial park. All of these efforts use the power of art in activism to draw new people to do high blood pressure, obesity and diabetes screenings. In order to continue advocating for change and more resources, through the community activities, LUCHA, Inc. has developed a listening campaign survey to identify how people feel about their access and use of mental health and behavioral wellness services in Ventura County. We have modified the survey a few times to ensure that it is effective and quick enough that people can take a quick survey while they wait to get their selfie picture taken with their loved ones at a busy community event.
