Our mission is to uplift low-income individuals in the Wiregrass region of Alabama, fostering hope and resilience in their lives.Our ApproachAt Meliorism Works Fund, we view poverty as a result of broader social and political systems, not as a personal failing. Our mission is to address needs in our community that are sometimes overlooked by traditional institutions-especially those of traditionally underserved and underestimated groups. We also recognize that accumulating excessive wealth has negative effects on individuals personally and society as a whole. In all our work, we regularly reflect on whether our actions align with our core values and commitment to social good-even when it's difficult.
