MEGA LAB The MEGA Lab's exempt purpose falls under the general science (U20) category: Organizations that focus broadly on scientific research and inquiry or which engage in interdisciplinary science activities. Our organization will use 3 activities, scientific research, outreach education, and mentoring of students to focus broadly upon scientific research and inquiry. Our activities will encompass and engage in interdisciplinary science actions to support research and conservation efforts related (but not limited) to the changing climate, ocean ecology, and human-environmental connections in the coastal and marine areas. These are complex issues that can not be solved by a single scientific discipline and as such will require an interdisciplinary team of researchers, students, and community engagement. By conducting research, providing outreach education, and mentoring college students in marine and coastal conservation fields we are directly contributing to our exempt purpose.
