Zach Gordon Teenage Club Inc The purpose of the Friends of the Zach Gordon Youth center is to support the needs of youth in Juneau by providing recreation counseling food security cultural support emergency housing and support services. The biggest new activity this year is the weaving of Alaska Native Robes intended to support the cultural identity of youth. The project is financially supported by local tribal organizations and the community. The "Friends" supports the operation of the Zach Gordon Youth Center and the Sheiyi Xaat Ht which means Spruce Root House youth emergency shelter. In addition the Friends collected and remitted local community matching funds to the City and Borough of Juneau for the shelter and provided supplemental youth support as needed.
