Seattle Institute For Cardiac Research SICR focuses its research on interventions that improve the public health related to death and disability caused by cardiac arrhythmias. The principal areas of research relate to the following specific research domains: 1. Prevention of cardiac arrest and death by implantable defibrillators in congestive heart failure. (SCD-HeFT) 2.
