CLIENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <img class="picture__fill image-d541842f-e2fa-4287-b347-b089e68a03b9p" alt="" src="/__static/7d96d54de2d4a861d617ebea1a89ecf0/logo-png(2).png" itemProp="image"/>Client Assistance Program (CAP) - Serving Washington StateCAP is an advocacy program for customers and applicants in Washington state seeking vocational rehabilitation services from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR), Department of Services for the Blind (DSB) and Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation (TVR) programs, and Centers for Independent Living (CILs). If you are receiving services from one of these organizations, CAP services are available at no cost to you. CAP provides information about vocational rehabilitation programs, processes and services. CAP also helps customers understand their rights and responsibilities and navigate the rehabilitation process. CAP may represent you with DVR, DSB, TVR or a CIL if a disagreement occurs that you cannot resolve on your own. CAP attempts to resolve disagreements informally through discussions with program employee(s) involved as a first step. CAP is mandated to resolve issues at the lowest possible level, which includes information and referral and support with self-advocacy. If informal efforts are not successful, CAP can assist you through the mediation and/or fairing hearing process. The Client Assistance Program (CAP) is a private non-profit organization funded by the Federal Government under the 1973 Rehabilitation Act as amended.
