LIBERTY SANCTUARY Liberty Sanctuary Liberty Sanctuary is a leading equine nonprofit dedicated to protecting America’s most vulnerable horses and banning the slaughter of our cherished American equines. We rescue equines from the slaughter pipeline and offer comprehensive care, training, and adoption programs. Liberty is also home to more wild horses than any sanctuary in Utah. We offer horsemanship clinics to the public and working student opportunities. Liberty is home to over 30 rescued horses cared for by over 60 volunteers. Our national advocacy efforts include launching SAFEACT.org and helping to energize The Lost Horses campaign to support the Save America's Forgotten Equines Act currently in Congress. Our work has been featured on ABC News, Fox News, Good Things Utah, Good Day Utah, Salt Lake Tribune, Park Record, NPR, and more.
