40 ACRE CONSERVATION LEAGUE A. This corporation is a Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for public and charitable purposes. B. The specific purpose of this corporation is to facilitate the preservation of open space and public lands, both for the increased access by, and enjoyment of, the general public but also to protect the natural habitats of fish, wildlife, plants, and other similar ecosystems. In encouraging preservation of open space, this corporation will ensure access is enjoyed by all communities, including the African-American/Black community. Finally, this corporation aims to support various improvements to public space, through activities in infrastructure, housing, lodging, public advocacy, and private enterprises aligned with this focus.
