SCHOOL SOCIAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT The School of Social Economic Development believes in building social emotional competency of our students increases their academic achievement. SSED will teach a community wide social skills system to all students, preparing them to better cope, cooperate and problem solve all situations. SSED supports social and emotional learning (SEL) it has become more central to education because of demand from educators, parents, students, and business leaders alongside rigorous research showing broad, positive impacts for students and adults. ("Systemic social and emotional learning: The systemic SEL is an approach to create equitable learning conditions that actively involve all Pre-K to Grade 12 students in learning and practicing social, emotional, and academic competencies.
