WILLIAM E MORRIS INSTITUTE FOR JUSTICE William E. Morris Institute for Justice (The Institute or MIJ) was established and incorporated under the laws of the State of Arizona on February 26, 1996, to provide a broad spectrum of administrative and legal advocacy services for low-income and other vulnerable individuals. MIJs work includes federal and state administrative advocacy; legal and policy analysis, research, and advocacy; litigation; public legal education; civil legal aid and poverty law training and technical assistance; substantive task force coordination; and legislative advocacy.MIJ primarily focuses on systemic legal issues in the areas of housing, consumer protection, food security, health care, unemployment compensation, and other public benefits and assistance programs. MIJs work ensures that low-income and other vulnerable persons have fair and equal access to public programs and services, as well as meaningful participation in fair hearings and other procedures associated with access and participation in pu
