The suspension impacts more than 850,000 Arizonans who rely on SNAP to feed their families, many of whom already face food insecurity. There is no clear timeline yet for when SNAP benefits will resume. At FIBCO Family Services, Inc., we are preparing for a significant surge in demand for emergency food assistance in the coming weeks. Families, seniors, and children who depend on SNAP will be turning to local food banks and pantries for help to make ends meet. We urgently need the community’s support to meet this increased need. We are asking for: o Food donations: Nonperishable items such as canned meats, vegetables, soups, peanut butter, pasta, rice, and cereal are especially needed. o Monetary donations: Financial gifts allow us to purchase fresh food in bulk and restock quickly as supplies run low. o Volunteers: Extra hands are needed to help support operations and meet the communities increased need for support during these times. Volunteer hours are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Every act of generosity, no matter the size, helps keep our shelves stocked and our doors open for families in crisis. A donation can be made online by visiting www.fibco.org/donate. Any donations by check or food donations can be mailed or dropped off in the lobby of FIBC located at 1141 E. Jefferson St. Phoenix, AZ 85034. If you wish to volunteer, please contact us directly at fibcoadmin@fibco.org. Together, we can ensure that no one in our community goes hungry during this difficult time. Thank you for standing with us and showing compassion to our neighbors when they need it most.
