FRIENDS OF NDGS PALEO The purpose of this Organization is to, by way of financial and volunteer support, advance the stated purpose of the North Dakota Geological Survey Paleontological Resource Management Program in its objectives to: 1) To promote public understanding and awareness of the importance of North Dakota's fossil resources through a variety of educational activities including the public fossil dig program, fossil exhibits, tours, and presentations; and 2) To identify and preserve North Dakota's significant fossil sites and specimens; and to conduct scientific research related to those fossil sites and specimens and the environments in which those organisms lived.
