JAMES BALDWIN PROJECT INC The James Baldwin Project, Inc. (JBP) is a Connecticut-based 501(c)(3) formed in 2020. As described in the James Baldwin Projects IRS 501(c)(3) application, in accordance with Federal IRWS NTEE (National Taxonomy Exempt Entities Codes), our corporation is listed under the heading Arts, Culture & Humanities with specific reference to the following categories: A20 Arts, Cultural Org, Multipurpose; A23 Cultural, Ethnic Awareness; A25 Arts Education; A31 Film/Video; and A32 TV. To fulfill our primary exempt purpose of using the arts to promote cultural awareness and understanding, we create media (written, visual & recorded) and produce public events (both live & online) that use the arts (film screenings, performances, readings, exhibits, workshops, study guides...) for the promotion, exploration and expansion of cultural awareness, historical understanding et al.
