The Community Pantry THE COMMUNITY PANTRY WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1998 FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FOOD TO THE NEEDY THROUGH VARIOUS PROGRAMS IN THE GALLUP AND GRANTS, NEW MEXICO AREAS. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVES DONATED FOOD FROM OTHER NOT-FOR- PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS, INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES. SOME OF THE FOOD IS RECEIVED THROUGH THE ORGANIZATIONS AFFILIATION WITH FEEDING AMERICA. THE FOOD IS DISTRIBUTED FREE OR FOR A NOMINAL CHARGE TO NEEDY INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES OR AGENCIES WHO DIRECTLY FEED THE NEEDY.
