Glenn Shapiro Our MissionAt KodiakCare, we love dogs and their people. KodiakCare saves the lives of dogs by providing funding for critical veterinary care to families who lack financial means. Who we areKodiakCare is a non-profit organization founded by Glenn and Nancy Shapiro in honor of their dog, Kodiak — a sweet Bernese mountain dog with giant paws and a bigger heart. Kodiak experienced multiple medical challenges over the years, but the Shapiro family was fortunate enough to have the necessary funds to prolong his life for many years. Understanding that not everyone is financially able to similarly provide care for their dogs, they founded KodiakCare to come to the rescue.
