HUTCHINSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION To support and enhance the educational experience of Hutchinson's 300+ students by fostering a strong partnership among parents, staff, and the community. This includes 1) ORGANIZING EVENTS to build community (spring fling, family fun night, literacy nights, etc); 2) COORDINATING VOLUNTEERS to support our 14 classrooms, library/STEAM, art, music, PE teachers, environmental club, field trips, etc; 3) ADVOCATING for students' needs and providing a platform for parents to engage with school activities and decisions (9 meetings/year, open to all parents/staff); 4) FUNDRAISING through our fun run, 9 restaurant nights/year, and shopping rewards programs. Funds support community events, building improvements, guest speakers, educational resources, such as technology, books, STEAM materials, classroom supplies, playground improvements, etc.
