The Great Outdoors Fund The Great Outdoors Fund was established in 2017 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization to serve as a neutral funding mechanism facilitating collaboration between any public agency responsible for managing outdoor recreation and the private sector to provide a full range of high-quality, year-round recreation opportunities, both economically and environmentally sustainable, through public-private partnership projects.
