Tusculum University seeks to instill in its graduates a sense of the world in which they live and to develop skills to make sound decisions that are based on the common good. Embracing the founder's Presbyterian roots and Christian faith, the Institution is committed to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. Inspired by faith, a cultivating atmosphere of open dialogue and free inquiry is encouraged. With a civic arts tradition, there is an emphasis on citizens working together to form good societies that in turn nurture individuals of good character. Student-athletes become principled leaders who are contributing citizens and champions in life by instilling the highest values of character, integrity, and sportsmanship. The Center for Civic Advancement seeks to engage the heart, mind, and soul in cultivating awareness of self/others.
