AMSALE GESSESSE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL FUND FOR AFRICA Our Story Our story is one that is built on the foundations of compassion, empathy, and a desire to make lasting changes. As Ethiopian Americans, the co-founders, Dr Anteneh Roba and Ms Seble Nebiyeloul , were moved by the plights of humans and animals in their country of origin and across the world. That’s why we decided to take action! As seasoned medical and administrative professionals, we have the expertise to address the root causes of some of society’s most pressing issues. We are strong advocates for sustainable change and believe that closed-loop systems are the key to achieving this goal. Our commitment to veganism is another cornerstone of our philosophy. We believe that all animals deserve to live free from harm, and we strive to educate others on the benefits of plant-based living. To bring these values to life, we decided to launch an international non-profit organization that is registered both in the US and Ethiopia. We are dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most. What began as a series of medical mission to rural Ethiopia in 2006 grew into a comprehensive multi-pronged program serving vulnerable children, youth, and women. The co-founders leveraged their own resources and networks to create partnerships and build teams around their passion to birth and grow “ International Fund for Africa”.
