SAVANNAH MARITIME ASSOCIATION INC Savannah Maritime Association is a non-profit organization. It is the liaison between the maritime community and the Federal organizations that regulate it, i.e., the Director of the Port with Customs, the Captain of the Port with the US Coast Guard and the US Corps of Engineers. Savannah Maritime Association provides a platform for the Federal agencies to contact the maritime industry and to interact with them on a monthly basis. Coast Guard Sector Charleston has tasked Savannah Maritime Association with chairing the Harbor Safety Committee which will address issues as identified and make recommendations to various federal, state & local agencies.
