Pitt County Committee of 100 Inc To serve the public of Pitt County, NC by diversifying Pitt County's economy through the attraction of new industries, expansion of existing businesses, and support for start-up enterprises that will bring jobs and investment to our community; Will assist local governmental agencies in fostering economic development to promote opportunity, combat unemployment, community deterioration, and juvenile delinquency; Will work with local government and other organizations in the region to establish and maintain a strong business climate; Provide monetary support from the private/business sector to assist with business and industry recruitment and retention; Encourage and promote the location and operation of diversified businesses, industries, and manufacturing in Pitt County; Act independently or in conjuction with other organzations in the promotion and development of the economic and general welfare and betterment of the general public; And to provide relief to the poor, unemployed, and un
