Psychiatric Foundation of North Carolina Organization's Primary Exempt Purpose:The Foundation is organized for charitable, educational, and research purposes, including but not limited to: educating the public about psychiatry, psychiatric illnesses, and treatments; increasing public awareness of psychiatric illness and availability of treatment; enhancing quality of assistance to the psychiatric patients; support training, education and research to improve care of psychiatric patients; removing discrimination; undertaking other projects for public benefit; and providing support to the NC Psychiatric Association in its efforts to achieve these purposes.
