Kids will play games, tumble, and build confidence while learning the basic skills and movements of wrestling.REGISTER Scout Squad8-12 years oldThis program is for young and beginner wrestlers, where they will develop fundamental skills, learn teamwork, and build confidence—inside and out. Scout Squad emphasizes camaraderie, character, and being "Big on the Inside," inspired by our beloved club dog, Scout. For those wrestlers ready to move out of mini GOATs. REGISTER Big Kids12-17 years oldDesigned for junior high and high school wrestlers who are ready to sharpen their skills and elevate their wrestling. Practices focus on advanced techniques, competitive mindset, and physical conditioning, preparing wrestlers to confidently compete at the next level.REGISTER Level XEmphasis on advanced technique, individualized coaching, and intensive skill development. Wrestlers selected for this class receive focused attention to help them maximize their potential, compete confidently, and excel both on and off the mat.Program contingent on Coach selection. Must be currently enrolled in a wreSTL program.Old GOATs18+ years oldOur adult wrestling community offers alumni, coaches, parents, and wrestling enthusiasts a fun and supportive environment to stay active, connected, and involved. It’s all about camaraderie, fitness, and continuing to love the sport we share.CURRENT USA Wrestling membership required.Girls Only12-17* years oldIn partnership with the City of St. Louis Recreation Dept., this free preseason program welcomes girls aged 12-17, from beginners to experienced wrestlers. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or shaking off the summer rust, join us at the Cherokee Rec Center for 8 weeks Sep-Oct. Registration is required through (Sept-Oct only) stlcityrec.recdesk.com.*Must be born after Sept. 1, 2008REGISTER ALL MEMBERS RECEIVE team ShirtEach year there's a new team shirt everyone gets! membershipEveryone receives an annual membership to the national governing body USA Wrestling. EQUIPMENTMembers receive shoes, headgear, competition singlet and other equipment on loan. MENTORSHIPMembers learn, lead, and give back through our mentorship-based club model.wreSTL provides outstanding opportunities for boys and girls in St. Louis through quality wrestling instruction, mentorship from community members, and a club ownership model. Each youth member signs the Athlete Code of Conduct Commitment, where we empower them to act like owners of the club. Every practice finishes with club chores, where the kids are cleaning the space, mopping mats, wiping down surfaces, and coaches supervise and mentor in the process.
