ROATAN MARINE PARK INTERNATIONAL INC The mission is twofold. First to facilitate enforcement of Honduran environmental protection laws, create a sense of environmental responsibility through education of residents and visitors, and to promote community empowerment for participatory conversation of Roatan's coastal and marine resources. Second to protect and provide a healthy and sustainable marine environment off Roatan capable of carrying out it ecological function while maintaining its capacity to provide the ecosystem goods and services (fisheries, aesthetic and cultural values) that foster sustainable livelihoods. RMPI works to maximize the flow of resources, grants and donations to support the local efforts in Roatan, Honduras. The RMPI is a major supporter of the Roatan Marine Park (RMP) in Roatan, Honduras helping to sustain their mission of protecting the Mesoamerican Reef System in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
