FRIENDS OF THE JEWISH MUSEUM OF ROME INC The mission of the Friends of the Jewish Museum of Rome Inc.(the "Organization") is to support charitable and educational organizations in Italy and in the U.S. The Organization's particular focus is to provide support to museums and other cultural institutions, including The Jewish Museum of Rome (the "Museum"), that protect, preserve and promote the art, artifacts and the history of the Jewish community in Rome. The Jewish Museum is located in the Great Synagogue in Rome, Italy, and is open to educational institutions as well as the general public. It is a place to discover the traditions, religion and history of the Roman Jewry, one of the oldest communities in Rome. The Museum is a division of the Jewish Community of Rome, a foreign equivalent tax-exempt organization.
