Friends of NOAAM The Corporation is organized for the benefit and support of the New Orleans African American Museum of Art, Culture and History ("NOAAM"), a Louisiana nonprofit corporation exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended and as hereafter amended (the "Code"). The Corporation is authorized to engage in any lawful activity for which corporations may be formed under the Louisiana Nonprofit Corporation Law, subject to the restriction that the corporation shall not carry on any activities not permitted to be carried on by a corporation exempt from federal income tax under Code Section 501(c)(3) or by a corporation the contributions to which are deductible under Code Section 170.
