FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF MANAGING Home What We Do Managing Entities assess the unique needs of individuals, as well as communities as a whole, to tailor all funding to meet the needs of those they serve. This model of providing behavioral health care services to Florida’s uninsured population is an excellent value to the state, to provider organizations, to communities, and, most importantly, to the individuals and families who receive publicly funded substance abuse and mental health services. Care Coordination Develop and manage a community-based system of care that includes “wraparound” services such as housing, employment, and transportation. Read More Accountability Hold partner organizations responsible for contracted services and conduct comprehensive audits to monitor system accountability Transparency Serve communities with complete transparency to taxpayers with oversight from community boards, partnerships with government agencies, and regular reporting. Efficiency Operate with less than 5% overhead statewide and leverage community resources. EXPLORE MORE SERVICES LOCAL | NON-PROFIT What Are Managing Entities Managing Entities are local, not-for-profit organizations with community boards overseeing state and federal behavioral health systems of care for Florida’s safety net population. Working with community stakeholders, we tailor funding and services to fit each community’s unique needs. Statewide Managing Entities manage a network of over 300 providers working across systems of care, including child welfare, local governments, law enforcement, hospitals, school districts, and more. Comprehensive Care Managing Entities provide substance use and mental health services to more than 320,000 uninsured and indigent persons, including substance-abusing parents and pregnant women, families in the foster care system, veterans, individuals with serious mental illness, incarcerated individuals, and chronically homeless individuals.
