In keeping with Mike’s spirit of giving, the foundation will also financially support unique causes within the community. The Classic Mike Loyer Foundation was founded on July 19th, 2011, one day after Mike’s passing. On this day, many of Mike’s family and friends gathered to share memories and discuss ways to honor Mike by keeping his giving spirit alive. The idea that led to the creation of this foundation was first proposed by Mike’s nephew, Jake, who suggested that an annual memorial golf tournament be formed to raise money for charitable causes around the community. Thrilled with this idea, Mike’s loved ones pulled together to organize this tournament and develop The Classic Mike Loyer Foundation.
