Julia Belle Swain Foundation Inc The mission of the Julia Belle Swain Foundation, Inc. (the "Corporation") shall be, consistent with Chapter 181 of the Wisconsin Statutes, exclusively for charitable, religious, educational and scientific purposes including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. A primary purpose of this Corporation is educating local patrons and visitors about the history of the Mississippi Valley in the La Crosse Wisconsin Region and giving background as to the original inhabitants in the region, the settlement of the region, and the importance of the Mississippi River in the development of the local infrastructure.
