NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS RHODE ISLAND Neighbors Helping Neighbors RI was established as a 501c3 in 2012 in response to an unmet need in the community We provide home repairs using volunteer labor and contractor services at no cost to qualified low-income residents in South County RI to primarily address safety and quality of life issues enabling families to remain in their homes In past years projects included small repairs to decksstairs wheelchair ramps hot water heater replacements and some roof repairs with the majority of the work being completed by volunteers This past year based on the applications received and the types of repairs requested we have found it necessary to use the services of licensed contractors to complete many of the projects
