BACK PACK BLESSINGS INC To provide chronically hungry children in local elementary schools and Salvation Army After School Program with food to take home over the weekend. These children qualify for the federal Free and Reduced Price Meal Program and have little to no food on the weekends. Each week during the school year backpacks are stocked with nutritious child-friendly and easy-to-prepare food. These bags are packed by volunteers and delivered to the children in school to take home for the weekend.
