SAN DIEGO ETHIOPIAN COMMUNITY INC ECSSD is a non-profit organization established to provide support services to Ethiopian immigrants in the sunny San Diego area. It was established with the understanding that our community needs a place where Ethiopians can come to have someone listen to their concerns and seek help if they are in need. We are building our capacity to help Ethiopian immigrants get into public housing, shelters, employment, counseling, translation of important documents, support with travel documents, interpreting services for those with limited English, and counseled with health, legal and immigration issues. ECSSD also understands that during unexpected emergencies and accidents that result in the death of a community member, a more organized community can either have ready funds to dealt with the emergency or have the organizational means to respond in a timely manner.
