STAIRSTEP FOUNDATION Stairstep’s mission is to reignite and sustain a spirit of community among African Americans. Stairstep was formed as a God-inspired response to a set of awesome challenges that confronted society at large and African-Americans, in particular. The African-American community is not a monolith. Our history is full of great leaders and different points of view. Strategies and tactics that vary, but wise eyes always on the prize of a beloved community. Stairstep Foundation is a 501(c)(3) founded in 1992 with a God inspired community building vision. LEARN MORE Financial advance and economic stability are requisite to sustain viable community. We are grateful that God has allowed us to collaborate with our partner Build Wealth Minnesota to acquire the principle ownership position in the building conceived and built by one of our heros, Richard Copeland. The building is situated at a vital crossroads of our inner city community Penn and Plymouth Avenues North.
