THE DETROIT MEDICAL CENTER LEGACY DMC'S MISSION IS TO MONITOR VHS OF MICHIGAN'S COMPLIANCE WITH ITS COMMITMENTS TO THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN, WHICH WERE INCLUDED AS CONDITIONS TO APPROVAL OF THE SALE OF THE ASSETS OF THE DETROIT MEDICAL CENTER IN 2010. IN ADDITION TO THIS, LEGACY DMC SERVED AS THE FIDUCIARY FOR THE DONOR-RESTRICTED CHARITABLE ASSETS EXCLUDED FROM THE SALE UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THESE ASSETS WERE TRANSFERRED TO NEW FOUNDATIONS. AT DECEMBER 31, 2013 SUBSTANTIALLY ALL ASSETS HAD BEEN TRANSFERRED.
