Bands & Brews - This Weekend - Get your tickets NOW Grab your flannel, favorite 90s character, or pop star outfit and come celebrate with WISH at this super fun mixer/fundraiser that brings our community together. From dancing to the tunes of DJ Chad Keenan, games, costume contest, delicious food, to a rocking live band featuring WISH staff members and parents/caregivers. 90s DJ dancing set to follow the live band performance. WISH Academy Fall Exhibitions WISH ACADEMY IS GOING TO SPACE! In 2021-2022 a WISH Academy Sophomore team designed and built a mechanism to study wave propagation in water in microgravity. Their device will be on the Blue Origin New Shepard Mission NS - 35 launch on Saturday, Aug 23 and will operate in microgravity for three minutes during the sub-orbital flight. This competition is through TechRise, sponsored by Future Engineers and anchored to NASA. The team was awarded a $1500 grant from TechRise to compete.The students from the class of 2024 are:Nathan ScottJayla De Armas OsborneLogan WesterfieldGabriel KoppulaFelix CifuentesThe launch will be livestreamed on Blue Origin's website at https://blueorigin.com/live with the launch window opening at 7:30 AM CDT (5:30 AM PDT) and the livestream starting 15 minutes prior.
