American Veterinary Medical Association SAVMA Purpose: 1.- To promote a friendly community and spirit among the students enrolled in the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine (UTCVM); 2.- To provide additional opportunities for members to gain professional knowledge and an understanding of professional ethics and conduct; 3.- To encourage student involvement in organized veterinary medicine; 4.- To promote student involvement in community outreach programs; 5.- To develop leadership skills through training received in conducting Chapter affairs; and, 6.- To make available the opportunities offered by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and SAVMA to Chapter members.
