The graphics are a shout out to 4 of our biggest local supporters. Each week, the van transports an average of 2500 pounds of donated food from the local area stores, Hannaford, Trucchi’s, Shaw’s and Cumberland Farms. Each week, they work hard picking up the food from Greater Boston Food Bank and local stores, stocking shelves, and assisting people with their “shopping.” On Wednesday, July 30, the tables were turned, and they were treated to an afternoon Pig Roast. A big thanks goes out to Michael King of Wyandotte Farms of Mattapoisett for offering to donate all the food for the event. Mike and his assistant provided the group with a delicious feast of pork, chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans, corn bread and salad, all fresh from his farm. For dessert, he brought along his homemade bread pudding. Joyful Scoops also donated a couple of tubs of ice cream and the afternoon was topped off with a Sundae party. August 2025
