This mission has only been possible because of the incredible generosity of our community. Now, after years of planning, we’re moving forward with the first Resilient Pantry in South Carolina, a secure hurricane-resistant facility designed to serve families year-round, even during emergencies. We’re closer than ever, but we still need donations to finish strong. Every gift helps keep food on the shelves today and brings this new pantry one step closer to reality. Every Dollar Helps Resilient Pantry Founder & Director, Nannette Pierson, on WHHITV Thank You, Hilton Head Island! Because of our sponsors, players, volunteers, and donors, Golf FORE Hunger made a powerful impact. We’re now at $995,000 raised toward our $1.5M Resilient Pantry goal, and we still need your help to finish strong. Donate Now View Event Recap Who We Are The Sandalwood Community Food Pantry, established in 2009, is a non-denominational, non-profit organization dedicated to nourishing the bodies, minds, and spirits of those in need. Born from one woman’s vision to address childhood hunger on Hilton Head Island, we have grown into a vital community resource, partnering with the Lowcountry Food Bank of South Carolina to ensure reliable assistance. Our mission goes beyond providing food; we strive to empower and uplift, working alongside the community we serve. Despite facing challenges such as reduced USDA commodities and dwindling supplies, we remain committed to our goal of supplementing monthly groceries for families in times of need, embodying the belief that we are stronger together.
