California Association of Physician The CAPG Foundation is planning to sponsor a periodic conference of stakeholders in the health care industry to determine the most cost-effective ways to deliver quality, affordable health care using the coordinated care model. The Foundation's staff will put the conference together during the first six months of2012. The first conference will be held in late 2012 or early 2013. The conference will be located in California or a nearby city such as Portland or Phoenix. The conference will be a key part of the Foundation's effort to lower the cost of health care, increase the quality and increase access. The Foundation will devote 50 percent of its time to this activity. It will also devote 50 percent of its funds to the conference to provide scholarships to ensure that people, including students in a health care or scientific field who want to attend, are not turned away due to the inability to pay for a transportation, lodging, meals, or the conference fee.
