NEWBERRY AGRICULTURAL EXPO

NEWBERRY AGRICULTURAL EXPO EVENT WAS CANCELLED THIS YEAR DUE TO LOSS OF EVENT VENUE. WE WILL RETURN TO PROVIDING GRANTS/SCHOLARSHIPS IN UPCOMING YEAR. Conduct a two (2) day agricultural education event consisting of animal exhibits, youth exhibits, fresh food and the High School Rodeo event. Proceeds of the event have benefitted the local community by providing fundraising opportunities for the NCCFFA, local youth organizations, Newberry Jaycees and the Newberry Rescue Squad. These funds have been used in the local community to fund projects and activities such as the Newberry Jaycees Kids Shopping Spree for needy children at Christmas, funds in support of the SC Jaycees Camp Hope (a camp for mentally challenged children and adults supported by the state Jaycee organization), support of the Newberry Rescue Squad ensuring services are available to all areas of the county. In addition, a $500 scholarships have been provided to graduating high school seniors from Newberry County schools to continue their education.
