COLORADO FORUM FUND INC Introduction | Letter from Gail Klapper | Staff COLORADO FORUM FUND In 2008, the Colorado Forum established the Colorado Forum Fund as a 501c3 charitable organization. The Fund’s specific purpose is to educate the public on issues of significance to the State of Colorado and its citizens. The Colorado Forum Fund identifies philanthropic projects that align with the Colorado Forum’s mission and identified priority areas. We seek to convene coalitions and provide financial support to tackle the State’s most intractable problems by bringing the public and private sectors together to fill a need that neither sector could adequately address on its own. These efforts have ranged from sponsoring opinion research and education efforts related to Coloradans' perspectives on the challenges of school funding, initiative reform, state fiscal concerns, and our state’s election process.Currently, the Colorado Forum Fund is working to bring broadband to some of the hardest to reach areas in the southwest corner of the State. Our endeavor aligns with the Colorado Forum’s belief that access to reliable and affordable broadband is vital to the health of a local community, as the ability to participate in telehealth, remote work, schooling, or growing one’s business all hinge on the ability to connect to the internet. Additionally, in response to the increasing concern of wildfires across the State during an ever-worsening drought and lengthening wildfire season, the Colorado Forum Fund turned its attention to wildfire prevention and forest health. We have developed a diverse coalition of the US Forest Service and local agencies to identify Colorado communities ripe for intervention and aid. We also seek to learn from past devastations to further prevent catastrophic wildfires in our own backyards. This effort works in tandem with the Colorado Forum’s commitment to healthy forests, combatting air quality pollutants, and ensuring a more sustainable future. Donate Here
