BRAKETTES INC Teaching sportsmanship to young female athletes building character of young athletes through amateur athletic competition during the summer months offering training to improve skills and softball in organized amateur competition hosted an annual softball training clinic to teach softball skills and sportsmanship to girls age 10 - 16 separate clinics focused upon pitching hitting and defense The Brakettes encourage inner city girls within the geographic region to attend clinics free of charge worked with local Municipal Recreation Department girls softball leagues by sending player Representatives as coaches to practices and games Community work included arrangements for local senior citizens groups and youth softball teams to attend games free of charge sponsored fundraising in public awareness for cancer research awarded annual scholarships to the local high school students involved in softball Public speaking to promote teamwork and the importance of physical fitness
