ANCHORUM ST VINCENT Anchorum Health Foundation:WE’RE ALL IN Healthy Communities, Healthy People Anchorum Health Foundation is dedicated to improving the conditions that have the greatest influence on the health of communities and people in our region. We are committing our resources to strengthening community-based partners tackling critical local issues. Improving Conditions Our Region Our Resources Our Partners Improving Systems Improving Conditions Broadly defined as the Social Impediments to Health, these conditions are the most influential on peoples’ health. Specifically, we identify these impediments as the complex relationships between the social, economic, environmental, and behavioral factors in our region, which often lead to diminished health outcomes and shorter life expectancy. Our Region We operate in northern New Mexico, which we define as the thirteen northern counties, four adjacent counties, and all twenty-three federally-recognized Tribes, Nations, and Pueblos in the state. Our Resources Over the next decade, we will invest over $200 million, and commit the time, attention, and expertise of our staff to fulfill our mission. Leveraging our leadership capabilities within communities and our reputation as New Mexico’s largest foundation, we aim to achieve our stated ends. Our Partners We focus on strengthening partner organizations (public and private/big and small) that have the capacity, standing, local support, and commitment to lead high-impact initiatives to improve the health and well-being of their communities. Improving Systems We will continuously analyze community-level data to identify trends and insights for improving the complex interconnected systems in our region. Whenever possible, regional strategies will be designed at a system-level, rather than solely at a program-level. We will also encourage community partners to develop early and upstream interventions to address the most critical needs in their unique community. See Our Mission in Action
