AMERICAN FEDERATION OF TEACHERS 1. The objectives of this Federation shall be as follows: a. To promote the educational interest of the students b. To improve the instructional quality and interests of Tacoma Community College c. To raise the standards of the teaching profession by securing conditions essential to its best professional service d. To bring teachers into relations of mutual assistance and cooperation e. To advance the professional interests and standards of the Tacoma Community College faculty f. To provide a basis for representing the faculty in negotiations with the Board of Trustees and/or its agent. g. To cooperate with organized labor for the purpose of advancing democratic concepts through the college at all levels
