WASHINGTON STATE LEADERSHIP BOARD Recognize Leaders.Cultivate Leadership. Empowering Washington’s FutureThe Washington State Leadership Board (WSLB) offers free, equity-focused leadership programs, that help Washington high school-aged youth build skills, gain experiences, and make an impact. Our programs connect young people with mentors, travel, and real world learning opportunities across Washington State and beyond. Our youth leadership programs include: Washington World Fellows, a foreign exchange + career preparatory program for high school sophomores Boundless Washington, a grant-based outdoor and sports leadership program for young people with disabilitiesCompassion Scholars, a study abroad and service learning program aimed at promoting compassionate leadershipThese programs are designed to help participants build leadership and communication skills, access new experiences, and meet mentors and peers who share your passion for making a difference. The WSLB is a trustee agency of Washington State and is also known for bestowing official honors on behalf of the state, such as the Washingtonian of the Year.
