TRADE-FAIR MARKETPLACE The purpose of the corporation is to operate a non profit retail store that sells exclusively products purchased from wholesalers who adhere to the tenets of Fair Trade which are as follows: 1. Pay a fair wage in the local context. 2. Provide equal opportunities for all people, particularly the most disadvantaged. 3. Engage in Environmentally sustainable practices. 4. Build long term relationships. 5. Provide healthy and safe working conditions. 6. Provide financial and technical assistance to workers whenever possible. 7. Be open to public accountability. 8. Offer employees opportunity for advancement.
