Youth Empowerment Siskiyou The agency advocates for the best interests of abused and neglected children within the court system based on the belief that children are entitled to and have an inherent right to a safe and permanent home. The agency began operating under the name of CASA of Siskiyou County to work in the court system through trained citizen volunteers, in collaboration with key agencies, legal counsel and community resources to serve as the childs advocate and represent the best interest of the child in Juvenile Court. Since 2016, the agency has also facilitated a trauma-informed summer camp program benefiting local children exposed to domestic violence, physical, sexual or emotional abuse, or other forms of family trauma. In October 2019, the agencys mission was expanded and the agency was restructured and renamed Youth Empowerment Siskiyou (YES) to serve as an umbrella agency supporting both the CASA, summer camp and other programs serving any youth age 0-25 who has been exposed to trauma, is in t
