COMMUNITY GENERAL HOSPITAL OF GREATER SYRACUSE Through July 7, 2011, the core purpose of Community General Hospital of Greater Syracuse (the Hospital) was to advance high quality, safe, compassionate and cost effective healthcare for the Central New York Community. Pursuant to an Asset Purchase Agreement effective July 7, 2011 (the Transaction), the Hospital and its related organizations CGH Office Building, CGH Properties and CGH Health Services transferred substantially all assets and certain liabilities to the State of New York Upstate Medical University (Upstate). As a result, CGH ceased operations and has been in the process of winding down its affairs.
